The days are getting better. Today David was extubated (the breathing tube is out!) and put on the high flow nasal cannula! We couldn't be more pleased. David has been awake for all of his cares today and by the second one, he was telling us he was ready for that tube to be OUT! So far, he has done well and seems so much more comfortable. They have started his feeds again and sometime tomorrow he will be back to his normal volume.

Prayer requests -
Tolerate feedings
Decrease in events (heart rate drops, oxygen level drops)
Shunt continues to function with no problems
Continues to breathe effectively on his own
