progress... the big move

Progress has arrived.
I had all my numbers and proof ready to bring to the doctors this morning if they didn't allow David to move forward, but I didn't have to do much. Praise God! The doctor was already working on moving him to a regular ventilator right from the moment he saw David. His CO2 level is still high but not unreasonable. And everything else fell into place as I would have hoped to get David on to recovery. We still have some ground to cover but we are headed in the right direction! His shunt is working, they are adjusting the settings to drain at the pace they want it to, not too fast or too slow. We will continue to pray that it functions perfectly with no difficulties (overdrainage and clogging).

On a lighter note (haha) we had to completely move out of our apartment with a little more than a few hours notice yesterday! I know, we couldn't believe it either. But the Ronald MacDonald House needed to do some maintenance fumigating and it couldn't wait any longer. Long story short, my parents came to help Laura and I move everything to the other campus in a matter of 2 hours. We couldn't have done it without them!! So, three months of living in an apartment, 96 degrees, and a lot of craziness, we did it. Our set up is not so perfect but it will do and we should be able to move back on Monday. It is the perfect time to send some serious stuff back home with Joel. Oh, and we are about a football field from the hospital, that could not be better.

Thank you for prayers and support.
