dedicated to the LORD

Today was a special day! We dedicated David and Anna to the Lord! We are so thankful that we were able to do it at our church with family and tons of friends to support us! The message couldn't have been more timely... focusing not on the temporal but the eternal. Not focusing your life on the "why is the happening to me?" but rather that we have an unchanging, loving God who has eternity for us. Wow! Do you think I have asked that question a time or a zillion in the last 8 months? Yes I have. But today as the pastor was talking about this, I finally felt like I didn't need to ask that question any longer. Thank you Jesus!

The LORD your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17

David has been growing like a weed, I'm interested to see how he weighs tomorrow! We are headed to Phoenix tomorrow for a swallow study. They will be testing to see if we can go from thick fluids to thin. Right now we mix in cereal to David's formula to thicken it. As long as they don't see any problems or aspiration, we can just give him formula! Wouldn't that be amazing?

As I write this, I am amazed as I remember back to some of the crazy things I have posted about on this blog... doom and gloom turned to joy and love - we are soooo enjoying our cord-free baby, happy and smiling, loves to eat his hands and watch his big sister play. We are still working on rolling over and sitting up (he is so close)! And we have definitely noticed some weakness to his left hand. Something to keep in your prayers. :)

We enjoyed seeing both sets of grandparents in the last week, what a nice break in holding babies and having great company! Thank you our wonderful parents! Pictures to come! (I promise!)
