so our drive went ok... there - not so good, way back - bliss...
the eye doctor was encouraged, David's eyes are mostly developed to zone 3. But there is still disease. He is confident in 2 more visits (5 weeks-ish) it should be clear. Praise God for that! I complain a lot about all the driving and such, but really I am thankful we didn't need eye surgery!
Today we had our visit with our regular doctor. David weighs 11 lbs, 4.5 oz! He is really getting big, especially his cheeks!! And we can officially send back the feeding pump and supplies which makes me very happy! (but really over my dead body were we putting that tube back in his nose :) )
We have a lot to be thankful for.
Please say a prayer for us, next week we go to see the pulmonologist. This is the doctor or nurse practitioner rather who will determine whether or not David will continue to need his oxygen. They also manage the monitor that we have. Praise God it has only alarmed 4 times since the last visit (5 weeks), pretty amazing, since last time we went it had alarmed over 40 times in 4 weeks. Anyway, we are trusting that David will be able to get off the oxygen very soon.
We will also be going for a hearing test, David failed on the right ear in the NICU. Please keep this in your prayers as well! (He seems to hear Anna and her toddler craziness just fine!)
Will update next week! Thank you so much!
