Yesterday -
David is doing good, he had one rough episode last night. We missed the neurosurgeon today but he did drain some fluid. Now he is just keeping the nurses on their toes by holding his breath... the cycle of increasing and decreasing his oxygen level can be maddening!
I hope you had a great Easter! We went to church and then had a nice lunch with family and friends. It was fun to watch Anna and Jaxson pick up Easter eggs, of course trying to open each one as they went. :) And then Anna stuffed ten jellybeans in her mouth, crazy girl! Anyways, I hope the Easter message reminded you as it reminded me of the amazing love of God.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
Today -
David is well. He is gaining weight and is in the 50th percentile on the preemie chart. (It goes by weeks gestation, i.e. 33 weeks) The flow to his nasal cannula will go to 1 today! His belly is much improved in the last couple of days, not so round like a pregnant woman! He may still be having some problems with reflux, not spitting up so much, but when it does come up the back of his throat, he holds his breath and then drops his oxygen level. Pray that this would completely resolve and he would tolerate shorter feedings.
As always we are praying and believing for healing of David's brain and that he would absorb the fluid on his own. Thank you!
p.s. pictures to come tomorrow!
Looking forward to the pictures and glad you had a nice Easter. All the best from your friends in South Texas!
