Every minute I am so thankful for all of you and your words, your prayers, your love, everything! Your generosity is overwhelming... Our faith is increased daily. Thank you to my great group of friends in Yuma who have been some serious behind the scenes work to make this easier AND to my friend Natalie who had to bear the burden of passing word to everyone. So thankful.
I want to tell you that our David looks just like his dad. I always imagined that for my boy, it's hard not to have some tears just about that. (There's enough of those already!) He's beautiful and perfect and of course amazingly tiny! We will try to get a picture soon on the blog... although I am leery because of my protective mommy heart. :) We love to watch his every move, from a yawn to just moving his arms around. We have been able to change his diaper and touch him from time to time but his skin is extremely fragile. I can't wait to get a chance to hold him, but that is still days away.
Thank you for your prayers for Anna, my precious babydoll. She is doing so great and loving the time with all of the grandparents. What an awesome blessing they have all been and continue to be to us. I'm praying for a good balance with my time as a mommy and want EVERYTHING for both of my babies.
We are thankful for this amazing hospital we are at. As most of you know, I am a nurse and have worked in a lot of different hospitals/areas in my career. I have to tell you how impressed I am with the every aspect of Phoenix Children's. From the doctors, nurses, social workers, aides, the facility, the attitudes, just everything is as top-notched as a nurse could want, let alone a family or a patient. Please continue to pray for the staff who are caring for David, they are so encouraging and gracious to us.
We are in God's grace and are trusting in His all-knowing Spirit and truth.
Crystal! This is Debbie. I met you in Target at the dressing room. I was admiring your necklace you bought for the ball! And then I did see you at the ball as well!
ReplyDeleteI heard your news and I have had ya'll in my thoughts and my prayers ever since! You are drawing from your faith and strength in God and that is going to get ya'll through this difficult time!
We are keeping your sweet angel in our prayers!
Debbie
We miss you all very much! The Yuma crew is here for you whenever you need us. We'll hold down the fort till you return ;) Praying for David's strength and body to overcome this trial. Praying for your family as they grow closer to one another and God during this time.
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for you, just that God would keep giving you His peace and that you will continue to take refuge under His mighty wings.
ReplyDeleteWe are keeping you in our prayers! Your unfailing faith is astounding and we are encouraged by your love and hope. We pray that God will continue to be with you and your little David. We love you guys!!
ReplyDeleteIn His name,
Jake and Katie Tomlin
I love you big sis. Cant wait to see little david again. i pray for him and anna everynight.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of you guys! You've been added to more prayer lists up here in Washington!
ReplyDeleteCrystal you are an amazing testimony to God's power. You and Joel are facing the most difficult situation with love and faith. Audie and I wish we could be there to lend support but it sounds like you are in good hands. Little David has terrific parents and a big sister ready to shower him with hugs and kisses. I pray that happens soon!
ReplyDeleteCrystal and Joel,
ReplyDeleteBrad and I are continually lifting you all up in our prayers here in Mississippi. Your trust in the Lord is so encouraging to everyone....and it is so very comforting to know that He is in control. Prayers are answered and miracles DO occur! Precious David is already a blessing, but we know it must be so hard for you. I am thankful that your parents are there and that Anna has a good home while you are at the hospital. We pray that David's medical team will make all of the right decisions as they care for him and also that you have comfort and rest.
Sharon Feaster (Natalie's mom)
Hi Crystal,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about the difficulty little David is having. My mommy heart is heavy for yours. I want to let you know my family is thinking about yours today. After 25 weeks of being one body, you can't even hold that little part of you in your arms. I know, it is painful. We will keep praying that you are able to hold him soon.
My cousin was born 30 years ago at 25 weeks and she is a healthy, gorgeous 30 year old teacher now.
I have walked that road. I know I might not be the one you want to talk to, but I am here if there is anything I can ever do.
Best wishes,
Shannon
