A quiet day

Quiet days are good days, it means that David gets to rest and grow. Well, early this morning, he decided he would pull his breathing tube out again... oops! He's such a little fighter! But there were able to put it back in and no harm done. He has been resting with his arms up over his head, he looks so comfy. OH, and he opened his eyes just a little today! Maybe by tomorrow we will be able to see them more.

We had a great visit with Pastor Brandon and his wife Jackie from our church in Yuma - Champion Church. It was a great time to chat and pray over David. Thank you Champion for your amazing support! The pastors from our church Stephen and Lacinda Bloomfield actually came to see us last week and blessed us with their unwavering faith in the future for David! They told us about how they were praying at the services on Sunday and how so many families were telling them their miracle baby stories. I can't tell you how much that encouraged us and gave us hope, God uses them in a big way.

Keep praying for David's health and that the weaning from the breathing machine would be easy and David would be able to handle it. Pray that when and if he needs further IV lines, this would not be difficult because he is so tiny. And as always, pray his brain is spared damage from the bleeding.

One last note, I'm not sure if we said this already, but his platelet count is increased which makes them think the bleeding has stopped! Hallelujah!

  8. Crystal and Joel,

Tyler and I have recently heard of the struggles that your precious David has encountered from the day of his birth. We have, and will continue to pray for you both, your beautiful Anna, and your courageous David. I am glad that we are able to read the updates to hear of his remarkable improvement. David definitely sounds like a fighter. Please let us know if you need anything. You guys will remain in our prayers.

  9. How exciting, all of the milestones and victories are the things to focus on. Taking one victory and day at a time will help you get him home. I laugh about the pulling out of the tubes both of my kids did that all of the time with thier feeding tubes it drove me nuts, but I laughed thinking that they were just rotten enough to keep the nurses on their toes just like your son:)
In our thoughts and prayers daily,
