it's been too long

We are still here! Sorry for the lack of posts... maybe some pics can make it up? We FINALLY got over the ugly illnesses, it only lasted 5 weeks or so. BUT I actually saw the blessing in disguise.

I haven't posted much about David's horrible eating habits, but it has been a large struggle to say the least. What a battle... long story short, David was never eating as much as the nutritionist (that I used to see in Phoenix) thought he should be, despite his weight gain, so everyday I would practically force David to drink his bottle. I know, it sounds terrible... BUT since we started going to speech therapy, a sweet lady has worked with David (really me) on feeding. This combined with his extremely long sickness and some weight loss, somehow produced an eating boy! He actually drinks, and wants to drink his milk and eat baby food! Can I get a hallelujah!!?

Now, let me clarify he is not an eating machine, he is just eating without force or constant pressure. And he certainly has a preference toward fruit, same as his sister! Although, there is hope, Anna likes veggies now. Thankfully!

I also wanted to update you on David's recent activity, milestones, etc...

He is babbling! Gah-dah-bah and so forth, not many mah's yet, it is very sweet to the momma's ear.

He is scooting around, in what I would call a modified army crawl, both arms and legs move, almost like an inchworm maybe. It is cute and he is getting better and better at it. He does need some curiosity though, something to keep in the prayers.

He has lots of lovely smiles with the most precious dimple, mostly for his big sis. Along with the giggles are usually when she is around.

He has no teeth yet...

He is sitting up but does still fall at times. We are working on pulling up and standing up, it seems a little far off though. The recent ear infections did not help with this!

Ok that's all I can think of right now. We are ever thankful to God for the amazing progress David has made. And we are trusting and seeking Him for so much more! Some things to keep in prayer... using his left hand and arm, continue head growth, and curiosity.

A quick update on miss Anna... she is so smart and has loved being around David. She brings him toys, loves to talk with him and is starting to understand his emotions. She is a little motherly with him as well, telling him what to do, it is very cute! Lately, she is wanting to match mommy in our daily attire, see the picture below. Isn't she a doll? She is becoming so independent it is scary, especially in the area of dressing herself... you should see the outfits she comes up with! Her latest and greatest phrase is "Daddy flies an AV8B Harrier, mommy!"

And now onto the pictures! And more to come... :) enjoy!
