So, the big news today is David got a helmet! Let me explain... his head shape has become quite narrow and a couple of doctors encouraged me to get a head orthotic. I went back and forth, not wanting to inflict more pain and suffering on my little one. But, after talking with the doctors about it at length, they assured me that most children do quite well and it doesn't last forever. I know what forever feels like, believe me. When David was in the NICU for 106 days, that was FOREVER. Now the time has flown by and he has been in this world for nearly 10 months. Wow.
Please pray for us as the next couple of days, as the helmet settles in, may be a bit rough and some extra fussiness from David. Pray we all have the strength to push through the hardest part and that David's milestones would not be affected.

ReplyDeleteIt is great to see pictures of your darling children. I'm sure it was a special Thanksgiving....so much to be thankful for!! I hope all is going well with David's helmet; and that God continues to be a grace giver through each new stage!
