David was able to have his breathing tube removed just now. The doctor thought David was looking a lot better and was fighting the tube so we called Crystal to get her in on the discussion and decided to give it a try. So far, so good. I even got to hold him for about five minutes. What a lot of good that does for a father's soul. David seems to be more comfortable now and his blood gas just came back good. What a relief. We'll see how he does tonight since he hasn't had to breath for himself for a few days. We're still a long way from where we were and David will undergo a bunch of tests tomorrow morning but I am thankful and at peace tonight. Thank you all for your support.
