Blue Letter Bible definition
- to be of a long spirit, not to lose heart
- to persevere patiently and bravely in enduring misfortunes and troubles
I am just reminding myself what patience means because that's what the doctors keep telling me that this process is all about. David is doing ok today. He continues with low protein levels, high bilirubin, low oxygen levels (at times), and fluid on the brain. A lot of preemies deal with these issues and over time they improve. I often forget that he was born so early and has a long way to go. Side note - David's liver ultrasound from yesterday was normal, praise God. I certainly have learned a lot about patience in the last 7 weeks! Not only with David but with myself, Anna, and beeping machines (David's monitors). I know God is teaching me and that through this I am growing stronger. Please pray that I would have patience and can endure as the time seems long and the path is rocky.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23
The time is coming soon (I think) to make the decision for the VP shunt placement. I will be talking to the neurosurgeon sometime this week about it. Please pray for this, the decision, surgery, change of hospitals and timing, that if this is the plan, it would be easy and smooth, not disrupting David's growth or progress. Thank you!
p.s. I added a poll on the right side bar. I need to start getting some bottles for David and was wondering what people had luck with. Thanks!
I had a few days to catch up on from being gone...by reading through several days at once, I can see greater improvement. So,sweet Crystal, if you start to become impatient and frustrated, just go back to your first posting and read: you will see God's faithfulness and just how far you have come!! It will strengthen you and encourage you to 'faith' forward as already experienced. I will definitely be praying for you remember His faithfulness and the miracles you've the issues you are facing this week, and for His peace in the midst of it all.
