I thought I would update you on David's appointments. They went well! We saw the developmental doctor first and she had positive things to say. She thought David was doing well, happy and reaching milestones. She couldn't rate him as high as she would like because he is not using his left arm and hand as much... with that in mind, she scored him at 5 1/2 months for development. His current adjusted age is 8 months. CRAZY - we are celebrating his birthday next week! One thing of concern was that his head growth has slowed, please keep this in your prayers, as head growth directly reflects brain growth. The doctor was also very helpful in a few ideas to help with eating and recommending occupational therapy for use of his left hand.
Our second appointment was with the BPD clinic (lungs and nutrition), the nurse practitioner saw no issues with his lungs and thought his growth was acceptable, he actually is just touching the bottom of the growth chart for a one year old male! (Which by the way I think is an absolutely ridiculous scale to place him on!! On an adjusted age chart he is right in the middle - 50th percentile. Please excuse my annoyances with their system.) We are officially discharged from this clinic, but can follow up if needed. It's a nice relief to have one less visit to plan and travel for. Praise!
Sweet little David has a cold right now which passed through the house, we would love any prayers for a quick recovery!
I will continue to pray for David! He is so cute in this picture :) I heard it is really cold there right now... we all are hope spring is jut around the corner!! Much love - Crystal C
