Hello!
Sorry it seems to be so long in between posts. The good news is there is not much to write! My mom was able to spend a few days this week with me to help with the kiddos while Joel was at work. Thanks Mom! The nights are getting a little better. David doesn't seem to like to sleep in his bed... (do any newborns?) His reflux continues, he is very touchy around feedings and if he coughs, the alarms usually go off. He is eating better though! He is awake for at least half of his feedings and takes more than half of them, so that's great! We desperately want to get his tube out of his nose. And really he does more. Any chance he can get a finger on it, he is pulling! In fact, just now he nearly pulled it out, I didn't think I was going to win this time in the tug-o-war! Thankfully I did! :)
We are visiting our regular doctor weekly and this week David weighed 8 lbs, 8 oz! He is such a big boy! We will see the eye doctor again Monday. Please pray that David's eyes would develop to zone 3. This is the last zone in the development of the retina and the doctor would feel more comfortable letting us wait more than a week to visit him.
Thank you so much for keeping in touch and continued prayer!
ps - Yuma friends your meals are so stinkin' delicious and we are so grateful for each and every one!
We continue to pray for healing and growth for David, that his reflux would improve and he would be able to cough effectively. That he would take all of his feedings by mouth. And that all of us would get restful sleep!
Great to hear that things are settling in a little bit in the Knutson household. David continues to grow and it won't be long before he's free of all the medical gear. Praise God for family and friends who are taking such good care of your family! Continued blessing upon all of you and best wishes for health and happiness!
ReplyDeletePraying for his eye development. So good to see pictures of your precious babies! :)
