Hello!
David is doing fine just resting and growing, having a few events here and there, tolerating his feedings and pooping (all over his clothes)! We are settled in at the new hospital and our little area. The awesome thing is that the NICU here is at the lowest census they have had in years, only 9 babies! We are not sad about that, it is a lot quieter according to the staff. I can't imagine what full would be like.
So tomorrow is the big day... I talked with the neurosurgeon about the surgery, risks, aftercare, etc. David will be back on the ventilator for the surgery and we will praying not for long. It will all depend on him. The surgery will be approximately 2 hours, the procedure is under an hour but they take great care in the cleaning process. So here are the prayer needs - blessing of Dr. Shaffron's hands and mind, surgery is successful, no complications (i.e. overdraining, infection, bleeding), and for peace for Joel and I.
We are still praying that God would do a miracle for David, heal him completely.
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."
Psalm 91:1-2
Who would ever think that pooping all over clothes would ever be something to be excited about?:) Will be praying hard tonight and tomorrow!!!
