In the NICU, the doctors use two numbers when they are talking about the age a baby. Weeks gestation (as in pregnancy) and his actual age. David is 9 weeks, 1 day and 34 weeks gestation today (I would have been 34 weeks pregnant today if he wasn't born already). 34 weeks is a big milestone for NICU babies. They start to make a turn to being like a newborn (makes sense, right?).
Today, David's expectation for his oxygen level went up, it was 83-93% and now it is 90-98%. Naturally, he may need more oxygen through his nasal cannula, his flow remains at 0.5L. His feedings are now over 30 minutes!! He is having a few issues with coughing and reflux, nothing major coming out of his mouth, but they are getting a lot out of his nose... And they also expect for him to start eating from a bottle soon.
We are praying for his reflux and cues for hunger. That he would tolerate his feedings and his oxygen requirement would decrease. As always for his brain and healing, absorbing the fluid as normal. Pray for strength and endurance for our family. Thank you dearly.
Blessings and faith to you and Joel. Healing and life to little DW.

Progress is a good thing and little (?) David seems to be making plenty. I pray you will draw energy from the good reports and find reserves of strength you didn't even know you had!!
