Home

This post is a bit late... but it was a full day yesterday and the day before... and no time to write. On Thursday, I got a chance to go home for a quick overnight trip. As you can imagine, it was a little odd to see my house and all of the stuff in it after 5 weeks. It seemed as if I had just left for a few minutes. It was good to be able to go and I got to grab a few things I had really been missing! :)

In the morning before we left, I felt blessed to see my incredible friends, whom I have loved and learned from, over the last 3 years! It was surreal to see some of their kids and just chat like we have so many times before. I have to tell you that they put together the most beautiful quilt for David, it brought me to tears. It's personalized with his name, bible verses and little notes, AND best of all it fits great over his incubator! I am honored, thank you.

David had a rough day and night on Friday with oxygen and heart rate drops. He did much better last night and today is starting off good. Continue to ask for God's favor in this area, most preemies take a while to get over these issues. Also pray for Joel as he heads home today, for safety and peace.

  2. Crystal, Joel and Anna,
Congratulations to you, Mom had told me of his arrival, but I had no idea what you were going through. I am so sorry. I love that you named him David. Tell my brother I said hi. I know that your whole world is encompassed within the thoughts of your children right now. It is all very surreal, but it is real. You are such a beautiful family and I will be praying for you and keeping updated on the progress. God has chosen you and Joel for David, because you are good, strong people. Love you all, bless you.
